The Monte-Carlo Magic Festival
The Monte-Carlo Magic Festival has been created more than 20 years ago by Prince Rainier in Monte-Carlo.
He wanted the magic festival to be as prestigious as the world renowned circus festival that he had created in 1974.
The festival happens every year in October. It is composed in 2 different parts. In the first part, you have only 5 "new" or "young upcoming" magicians that take part in the competition to win the gold magic wand.
In the second part, you have 5 renown magicians presenting their acts and do not take part in the competition.
There is a jury often composed of show business celebrities with at least 2 people from the magic society.
This festival is prestigious because it happens in Monaco and magicians regularly attend cocktails in different places and are welcomed as "stars".
Nevertheless, there is a very good and friendly atmosphere!
